Different types/brands/names of tape.

I realize there are so many different brands of tape that it can be very confusing to a newbie or someone new to trying the tape method of bonding.

Basically for long term wear 4-6 weeks you want whatever brand you buy to be EXTENDED WEAR TAPE. It will usually say it has 4-6 week hold or 30-40 day hold.

Airlfex-Extended Wear tape:

Protac is a name some vendors have given to Airflex tape. It can be known as Protac, Airflex, Extendabond and a few other names. This tape is 1 & 1/2 inch wide X 12 inch long strips. This tape has airholes

Pro-tape/Airflex Rolls. This is the same extended wear tape as the strips but on a roll. It is generally 3/4 inch wide

Supertape extended wear tape:

This is another extended wear tape without airholes on a roll. Supertape comes in many varieties of widths and roll sizes

And the latest tape to add to the extended wear tape family is True Blue Tape.

This is an agressive extended wear tape. It will give a long hold but some people may also find this tape to have more stickiness/residue.
