Aaaaaahhhh, I want a cat. Cats are awesome! Your cats are soooo adorable.... the dog is too.
Everytime I get a cat, it gets outside and coyotes eat it ... it's horrible.
Sherrie you are soooo loucky that you've had your cat for 22 years.

I thought I would bump this one up instead of starting a new thread.

I knew this day would come, but it doesnt make it any easier. I had to put our cat down today. Snuggles was a great pet and had been with us for a hella long time. We will miss him, but we had alot of great years with him.

He started acting a little goofy a couple of days ago, like he didnt know where he was at. Then this morning his back was all hunched up and he kept stumbling, he quickly went down hill and from there within a little while he coudnt get up at all. It seemed as if his back half was paralyzed. When he did get drag himself up on his front legs he would just fall over. Then he started shaking and he was crying.

At his age (22 years) I didnt want to put him through trying to find out what was wrong or any kind of treatment although I am not even sure if they could have done anything for him, and I didnt want him to suffer. I thought the right thing was to just have the vet do what needed to be done, to end his suffering quickly.

He had been so healthy and active. And I couldnt bear to make him suffer or be in pain trying to treat an illness at his age.

Thank you asinnamon, I think I did the right thing too, but there is still a part of me that feels so damn guilty. The hardest part was telling my daughter when she got home from her trip last night. Shes says she cant remember a time when Snuggles wasnt around. We have had him since she was little and he was already a mature cat then.

My boyfriend's dog ate a package that I was sending out to a customer. I had a lady order 20 custom designed pendants and the dog ate it. Luckily it was just the package and not the contents, but still, I freaked when the post office called me after they tried to pick it up!
