Yes, you can cut the lace back yourself, for somewhat of a custom hairline :) If you're looking for some SERIOUS lacefront queens??? Gurrrrl, go to BHM aka www.blackhairmedia.com

You can search those boards and find all the info you need in the archives. It'll blow your mind

I always wanted to try them, some are sooo expnsive. I was wondering if they look totally natural because Tyra Bank's sometimes dont. Alghough I love her long shag looks even the color is beautiful. Dont they itch too esp where you glue them?

I just recently discovered lace wigs.
This works for me because I get so bored with looking the same every day. With the wigs, I get to change my look to suit my moods.
Here's a few of my moods:

There are a lot of good vendors to choose from. A great place to start is this link http://forum.blackhairmedia.com/forum_p ... &KW=vendor where they have a list of vendors. Most ladies buy directly from the makers in China to save cost.

The vendors I (personally) recommend (where you won't pay a fortune) are:

American Vendors:
http://brehshouseoflacewigs.com
http://fixinheads.com
http://californialacewigs.com

Chinese Vendors:

http://www.junpengwigs.com/english/Index.asp
http://www.longfeihair.com/english/Index.asp
http://www.shuangyewig.com/english/index.asp

There are lots more to choose from (as you can see from the link); these listed are just vendors that I've dealt with personally and have had very good service.

Yay! Thanks for sharing that information. I can now get lost on a new forum, as well. There is a lot of information on that site. also.
Your new lace front is lovely I like that hair color on you, it brings out the lovely warm tones in your skin.

I have been searching high and low for somewhere to purchase from, I dont want to pay a fortune and end up with a load of rubbish. I live in the UK and prices range from £400 upwards.

I have been watching videos on you tube of how to put on the full lace wig and it does look easy but then again when you come to put it on yourself I suppose its not as easy as it looks.

I did take my measurements and sent it off to a chinese vendor but have not gone through with the order yet as I am a bit undecided. The guy hadnt got the time to inform me of the different types of laces etc, stretch lace and the list is endless of questions I wanted to ask. He just said he hadnt got time therefore I have not placed my order with him.

I might have another try with another vendor.

TeaforTwo: you're gorgeous and so is your hair! Thanks for the pics. It makes me want to buy a lace wig right now! The colour, texture and length are great. You go!
