Daughter's Hair Porn

Postby athena on Sun Mar 09, 2008 8:53 pm

Well, yesterday was the big day. I completed my daughter's installation in 4 hours. I went really slow and I was very careful not to make any mistakes. Took us 4 hours with breaks. I used Bohyme 10/16 22 inches. Matches her hair perfectly, even the texture is perfect! We are both happy with the results. I used Sherrie's method for seamless wefts on the top and sides. Thanks Sherrie and to everyone for all the great information I learned here.

The pictures are beautiful! So this is your daughter with the long blonde hair? I am tempted to say 'she doesn't need hair extensions, she's gorgeous!' lol!
The extra shine on the extensions goes away after a few washes

Oh Athena, what a great job you did! Your daughter fits that hair perfectly --- beautiful girl. She must just love it. You'll have to let us know how it wears. Did she have any problem sleeping the first night? You've got skills, girl!!!!

Thank you all for the lovely compliments!

Clipinqueen - No problem sleeping. We bought a silk cap at Harmon Beauty Supply for about $3.00. I put her hair in a long poney tail with a hand band so she would not get any ridges. All my skills are from what I learned here and everyone's great advice.

Shyshy - I went very slow with the install, had to be perfect for her since she is a perfectionist herself.

Frozen toes - Her hair is a little past her shoulders. Damaged somewhat from bleaching. I wanted to take before pics but I was so excited to get down to it I forgot. I will post those pics when we take this down and so a re-install. The color matches perfectly and no tangling so far.

Sherrie - I tried to post the pics here, but was having problems with that so I put them in the fotki. Is there any instructions on how to do it somewhere here?

Frenchie - Her hair is very fine - especially on the top and cowlick. I successfully covered that up with Sherrie's seamless weft. From the back. I was surprised at how much she looks like you.

As pretty as she is, that is how good she is too. Never gave me any problems, thank God. Thank you all agian, I could not have done it without you.

When she went to work, no one could believe she had extensions in. They said it looked so much like her own hair. I love that Bohyme hair.

Does she just sleep with her pony laying down her back, Athena? i have tried this when I wear my hair straight, but it seems that my pony gets wavy because of my restless sleeping as well as the heat of my back. I would like to keep my hair straight overnight without using heat the next morning.

We put it in the pony then in the silk bonnet. The next day, the hair was still sleek and smooth without tangles. Today is day # 3. Hair is still looking good.

I love that Bohyme hair.

I wish I look like her from the front too lol! She is gorgeous! Is she a model?
BTW, I didn't know there was a 10/16 color in Bohyme, they sell it on ebonyline but not hairsisters, I guess it is not one of the most common colors. I should try it though, it looks like it would be a good match for me.
I still bother using 3 different shades of blonde, mostly 16 but also 14B (a little bit darker than 16) and a tiny bit of 24. I like the highlights/lowlights effects but it is such a complicated process to figure out the proportions of each colors, the right mix, each color on top of which one etc.
I am glad you like Bohyme too, too bad they have had such a huge price increase. Hairsister 's prices went up like crazy a few days ago, about $50 more per pack.

What's funny is that 10 seems pretty dark for me, but on Athena's daughter, 16/10 looks very close to my shade no?
I'd love to use 2 colors instead of 3, it would make my install easier!
